The MKM Dundee Stars travelled to the Spectrum in search of two points, but were ultimately unsuccessful as they fell 6-2 to the Guildford Flames.

Guildford opened the scoring through Jack Jacome, who carried the puck into the Stars’ zone and fired a wrist shot from the high slot above the blocker of Jarrett Fiske at 05:49.

Cole Ully finished off a cross crease pass from Mathieu Gosselin at 10:07 on the powerplay to double the Flames’ lead.

Kameron Kielly responded almost immediately at 10:18, cutting through the Flames’ defense and sending a backhand shot past Justin Fazio for his third goal in as many games.

A shot from the point by Marcus Tesink found it’s way through traffic and into the Stars’ net to make it 3-1 at 21:31.

The Stars once again delivered a swift response, this time through Bradley Schoonbaert, who finished off a quick passing sequence with a one timer from the high slot past Fazio at 22:40.

Josh Nixon made it 4-2 at 34:05, picking up a feed from Jamal Watson and beating Fiske in close with a backhand shot.

Travis Brown added a fifth with a one timer from the right circle above the Stars’ netminder at 49:04.

Guildford concluded the scoring through Mathieu Gosselin at 53:03 who made it 6-2 with a shot from the left circle into the far corner of the Stars’ net.
