Belfast opened the scoring through Scott Conway thirty-one seconds into the first period, slotting home a rebound after Emil Kruse had denied David Goodwin.
Mike Lee doubled the lead at 07:10, collecting a pass from Karl Boudrias and firing from the right circle past the Stars’ netminder.
Jordan Kawaguchi added a third at 16:17, converting on another rebound attempt to make it 3-0 heading into the first intermission.

Dundee controlled much of the second period, outshooting the Giants 15-12 and forcing Jake Kupsky into a number of quality saves.
Despite their pressure, Carsen Twarynski scored the lone goal of the frame, snapping a shot from the high slot past Kruse to make it 4-0 for the Northern Irish side.
Late in the period, a turnover in the Stars’ zone sent the Giants away on a three-man breakaway. Kruse, however, stood tall to deny the chance and keep the deficit at four heading into the third.

Karl Boudrais extended the lead to 5-0 at 51:59, firing home a rebound after Kruse had made an initial point-blank save on Jake Gaudet.
Twarynski added his second of the night at 56:31, redirecting a Garrett McFadden point shot to make it 6-0.
Conway rounded off the scoring with his second of the game at 57:58, finishing a pass from Twarynski from behind the net to secure a 7-0 victory for the Giants.
