Welcome to this week’s instalment of the Dundee Stars A-Z series. Today, we bring you all of the players in Stars history, whose names begin with the letter ‘J’.


Jack, Kevin – Was a part of the Stars side from 2005-2006 and he made a combined total of 16 appearances for the team across the Scottish National League and Northern League, scoring 24 points.

Jackson, David – Backstopped the Stars for two seasons and made a combined total of 21 appearances for the club in the Northern League during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 campaigns. He since went on to provide back-up cover Edinburgh Capitals and Fife Flyers in the Elite League and now ices with the SNL Kirkcaldy Kestrels.

Jensen, Jimmy – Swedish forward from the 2017-2018 season, who made 55 appearances and contributed 33 points via 17 goals and 16 assists. The winger was a constant threat around goal and added key experience to the Stars line-up. After just one season with the club, Jimmy moved on and has spent the past two seasons with Marseille in the French second division.



Johnston, Murray – Played in three games of the 2002-2003 BNL season and the Scottish forward only ever played with one other team, Paisley Pirates, between 1999 and 2004.

Johnston, Ross – Made one appearance for the team in the 2009-2010 Northern League season and after eight years of icing with the Dundee Comets, he most recently played with the Dundee Tigers.

Johnstone, Craig – First served the Stars for two games in the 2002-2003 British National League season before returning three years later to join the team in the SNL and Northern League. Craig played in 54 games for Dundee and contributed 48 points.
