Dundee and Belfast met less than 48 hours ago at the Dundee Ice Arena, where the Giants claimed a 3-1 win in a closely contested matchup.
Sebastian Bengtsson found the back of the net for the Stars, while Nicolas Guay, Ciaran Long and Christian Berger scored for the visitors.
Carl Stankowski was once again sharp in net for Dundee, making 29 saves and posting a .906 save percentage.
“Our defensive zone was much better, we’ve been working on that a lot this week, but we still need to find ways to generate offence,” said head coach Scott Dutertre post-game. “There were a lot of turnovers in the neutral zone, at the red line and at both blue lines, so we’ve got to get that stuff under control.”

The last time the two sides met in Northern Ireland, Belfast skated away with an 8-1 win.
JJ Piccinich scored a hat-trick, Mike Lee recorded four points, and Kaleb Pearson, Morten Jensen and Patrick Guay all enjoyed a multi-point outing.
Maxim Eliseev opened the scoring just 17 seconds into that matchup, while Dominick Jaglar earned EIHL Team of the Week honours with his performance against the Giants, posting a .933 save percentage and allowing just two goals on 30 shots after coming into the game in relief of Vladislav Pestov.
“For us we have to keep building and working on certain things, we have to find a way to get a little bit greasier. We have to make sure we’re playing with a bit more intensity on our forecheck,” concluded Dutertre.
Faceoff is scheduled for 5pm.
