The Dundee Stars can confirm two injuries that are being dealt with following recent games.
Chris Lawrence suffered a knee injury in our home win over Fife Flyers and is set to undergo surgery in the upcoming days. The club is hopeful of having Chris back on the ice for the Christmas period.
Anthony Mastrodicasa suffered an upper body injury in Tuesday night’s game in Sheffield. We expect Anthony to recover within a 2 week period.
Following the news of the recent injuries, GM Omar Pacha commented, “Larry is a great asset to the team and I felt he was a dominant player for us at times. The unfortunate thing is he was getting better for us on a daily basis. We are hopeful of having him back around Christmas time”. He continued, “Mastro got an injury against the Steelers. He will be out for a minimum of two weeks. Mastro is a player that started off strong with us. He was logging many minutes and was able to play in all situations”.
Both players are being overseen on a daily basis and the club will do everything in their power to accelerate the healing process.
