The Trade-Mart Dundee Stars were unable to find a second victory of the season in the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday night as they paid their final regular season visit to Nottingham Panthers.

The Stars were missing seven players from their line-up as they headed south to face Nottingham Panthers on Saturday night, before welcoming Sheffield Steelers to Tayside yesterday.

Down in Nottingham, Dundee would be beaten 4-0 by the Panthers, as Quinn Wichers had the hosts 1-0 in front after the first period, when he lifted home a loose puck on 9 minutes but the second period then saw Danny Stewart’s side explode offensively as they moved into a 4-0 lead.

Three goals in seven minutes, quickly put the game beyond Dundee as Tim Doherty was next to fire past Jarrett Fiske inside 26 minutes, before Matt Alfaro added the third with a close-range finish in the 29th minute.
