Job Summary

The MKM Dundee Stars are seeking a creative, organised, and sport-savvy Marketing and Content Lead to manage and grow the club’s digital and media presence across all major platforms.

This role will take ownership of the club’s content output, delivering engaging and innovative video, photo, and social media content that connects supporters with the team, drives engagement, and supports the club’s commercial and community objectives.

Working within the club’s Media and Marketing team, the successful candidate will produce compelling storytelling from matches, training sessions, and behind-the-scenes moments, helping bring supporters closer to the team throughout the season.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced sporting environment, understands fan culture, and can balance creativity with professionalism.

 

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Media Production

• Lead the production and development of the club’s content strategy, ensuring output is engaging, creative, and aligned with current digital trends.

• Capture and produce high-quality video and photo content from matches, training sessions, and club events.

• Create engaging short-form and long-form video content including highlights, behind-the-scenes features, and player-focused storytelling.

• Provide videography and media support at home and away fixtures, ensuring consistent matchday content delivery.

 

Social Media & Digital Channels

• Manage and maintain the club’s official social media platforms including X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Linkedin and WhatsApp channel.

• Plan, create, and publish content in line with the club’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.

• Deliver matchday coverage including line-ups, live updates, full-time graphics, and post-game reaction content.

• Monitor comments, messages, and trends, engaging with supporters in a positive and professional manner.

• Identify opportunities to grow the club’s audience and increase engagement across digital platforms.

• Create paid advertising and sponsored posts to increase engagement and maximise revenues.

 

Collaboration & Club Integration

• Work closely with the Media, Commercial, and Community departments to support campaigns and partnerships.

• Assist with the creation and delivery of commercial partner and sponsor content.

• Build strong relationships with coaching staff, players, and club personnel to capture authentic content opportunities.

• Support internal departments with creative campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and community projects.

 

Planning, Analytics & Reporting

• Contribute to the planning of social media content calendars and marketing campaigns.

• Track content performance and provide insights through analytics and reporting tools.

• Stay up to date with evolving platform features, digital trends, and best practices in sports media.

 

Essential Experience, Skills & Requirements

Experience

• Proven experience managing social media accounts at a professional, sporting, or brand level.

• Experience creating digital content including photography, videography, and video editing.

• Experience working within sport, live events, or a fast-paced media environment is desirable.

• Knowledge of UK sport and fan culture is beneficial.

Skills

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and sports digital culture.

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing.

• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and other graphic design tools.

• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or motion graphics tools is desirable.

• Strong storytelling ability with a keen eye for visual content.

• Understanding of analytics platforms and social media reporting tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to evidence the legal right to work in the UK.

• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

• Valid passport desirable for potential travel.
