The Stars welcome Corey Neilson’s side to the DIA for their first test of the weekend before heading out on the road to face Coventry Blaze in the West Midlands tomorrow.
Marc LeFebvre’s men are currently eighth in the standings with 24 points after 32 games and the Braehead club are on 26 points with 29 matches under their belt.
Dundee have not met the Clan since they beat them 8-5 on Tayside back on December 22, and since then both teams have won four of their last nine games.
Xavier Pouliot, Brendan Harms (3), Brett Gravelle, Jake Elmer (2) and Kameron Kielly all found the back of the net for the Stars in the last meeting, while Devon Sideroff, Simon Despres, Tyson McLellan, Liam Finlay and Reece Kelly were all on the scoresheet for Glasgow.
Speaking ahead of tonight’ Scottish Derby, Stars Head Coach, Marc LeFebvre said: “We have to get some wins on home ice, our fans are craving it and especially against a rival like Glasgow, who we are only two points behind in the standings.
“We want to keep moving up that ladder but we need to start collecting points, no matter who we are playing against.
“Obviously, a win at home would go a long way especially at home against our rivals and it would be a great start to our weekend.”
He continued: “We need some intensity and urgency in our game and we can play with the best teams in this league, when we want to play.
“There are nights where we are really good or really bad but we are nowhere in between, when we are bad, we are bad and when we are good, we are excellent.
“We have seen it throughout the season, we have gone up against some of the top teams in this league who are competing for the league title and beat them and then there has been nights when we are just not there at all.
“So, we have to find some consistency if we want to get into the playoffs and we are not going to be satisfied by just limping into the playoffs, we want to climb as high as we can.”
Face-off for tonight’s home game against Glasgow is at 7pm.
