The Stars are coming off a one-game weekend, which saw them secure their first Elite League point in a close overtime loss to the Manchester Storm in Altrincham.

Bradley Schoonbaert and Matt Berry each had a goal and an assist, while Spencer Naas tallied two assists. Craig Moore scored his first goal of the season, meaning every Stars defenseman has now found the back of the net in either Challenge Cup or EIHL action. Jarrett Fiske was solid between the pipes, turning aside 44 of 48 shots for a .917 save percentage.

The Nottingham Panthers faced off against the Fife Flyers in midweek action on Wednesday, earning a 4-0 road victory. Jason Grande recorded his first shutout of the season, with goals coming from Matthew Marcinew, Mitch Fossier, Matt Spencer, and Oliver Betteridge.

The Stars and Panthers met six times last season, with Nottingham taking four victories. Dundee saw goals from Kameron Kielly, Keanu Yamamoto, Jonathan McBean and Spencer Naas, while Drydn Dow led all skaters with six points, including three goals. Meanwhile, Didrik Henbrant scored three times for Nottingham and added an assist, Tim Doherty contributed two goals and two assists, and Mitch Fossier recorded four assists.

This weekend will also mark the first meeting between Stars forward Otto Nieminen and Panthers goaltender Kevin Carr against their former clubs.

Nieminen spent the past two seasons with Nottingham, where he tallied 88 points in 119 games and helped the Panthers capture the Elite League Playoff Championship in May before making the move to Tayside.

Carr, meanwhile, played in Dundee under Marc LeFebvre during the 2023-24 season, appearing in 44 games with a .904 save percentage and a 3.37 goals-against average.

Faceoff for Saturday’s massive home game is scheduled for 7 p.m., with tickets on sale NOW!
