The Kitmart Dundee Stars and Dundee Ice Arena are delighted to welcome fans back into the DIA after an extended break due to Covid protocols. According to government guidelines we are allowed 200 spectators within the building.

Last few tickets remain for this weekend’s home games. The box office remains closed at the DIA as all tickets are sold out!

Please don’t come to the DIA without an eticket, which has been purchased after 18/12/21. As all other tickets are invalid until restrictions are lifted on 24/1/22.

If you can’t make the game in person, please support the club and watch the game from home HERE!

In order to protect and safeguard everyone in the arena, we have set out the following safety Covid protocols, following Scottish government guidelines.

Please DON’T attend the DIA

  • if you are unwell on the day of the game or have developed a fever or new persistent cough, sore throat or lost the ability to smell or taste, without going for a PCR or taking a Lateral Flow test and have received or uploaded a negative result
  • if you have tested positive for Covid 19 in the previous 10 days and/or are self-isolating
  • if you have been a close contact of someone who has Covid 19 and/or are awaiting the results of a negative PCR test
  • If you have visited a red list country in the previous 10 days

DUNDEE ICE ARENA CLEANING

As you enter Dundee Ice Arena you will see the fantastic job the DIA staff have made of cleaning the DIA. New enhanced cleaning protocols will be there for everyone to see, as the arena is spotless and extensively cleaned after each session at the DIA.

Please be considerate and do your part by using the bins provided and keep the DIA spotless.

 

 

MASKS

ALL person’s over 12 years old entering the arena, will agree to wear face masks at all times throughout their visit, with the exception of when they are seated within the arena and eating and drinking.

Mask removal will be entirely optional at your seat, if you wish to still wear your mask, however we will highly encourage fans to wear masks at all times.

Mask exemptions will apply, as per Scottish Government guidance lanyards will be encouraged to be worn.

HAND HYGIENE

There are hand wash facilities throughout the arena, we encourage fans to use these facilities on arrival to the DIA and throughout your visit.

ENTERING DIA

Doors will open one hour prior to face off. Please try and arrive with plenty time, so we can get everyone into the arena in a timely and safe manner.

At least one person from each group will be encouraged to scan the QR codes around the arena for Track and Trace Scotland.

Please be aware of the door you need to enter and queue in the correct place, as entry will be strictly at the following designated doors;

Eticket holders will enter the front door to enter the arena.

The Box office will be closed as all 200 tickets are only available online at dundeestars.com/tickets

We have reintroduced the barriers blocking the pathway behind both benches. This area will be out of bounds for everyone for the entirety of the whole game, except players, staff and officials.

An exception will only apply in the case of a fire drill or fire alarm. If you wish to get to the other end of the arena, you will need to go via behind the penalty boxes.

 

 

SEATING

We will encourage all 200 spectators to sit in sections A, B, C, D and E. No other stands will be open, except for officials, volunteers and staff to perform their duties.

As a guide, seats have been marked with green ticks, please use these seats as best you can.

Only rows A, C, E and G will be in operation, as we adhere to 1 metre social distancing within the arena, as per Scottish Government guidance.

Household bubbles can sit together, but must have two seats spacing between other household bubbles.

Season ticket seats aren’t valid for these games while under restrictions.

STANDING AT THE PLEXI GLASS

Standing at the plexi glass will not be permitted. Only staff, officials and volunteers will be allowed to stand during the game or if you are queuing at the café.

QUEUING FOR CAFE

Please try to maintain a 1m distance from other people/households, who are not in your extended group and respect others at DIA, be that players, fans, staff and volunteers, as we try to maintain the safest environment for everyone.

BARS

The bars will remain CLOSED while we operate under restrictions.

PASS OUTS FROM DUNDEE ICE ARENA

Pass outs to leave the arena will not be allowed until after the first period, once you have entered the venue, you will be asked to remain there until the end of the first period, unless in the event of an emergency.

Pass outs will only be available at the northeast door, as the front door will be only used as an entrance or fire exit.

EXITING THE DIA AT THE END OF THE GAME

Please use the nearest North, East or Entrance doors to exit the building. Leaving the arena in a timely and safe manner, soon after the game ends.

GAME NIGHT CHANGES

Unfortunately, there will be no match night mascots, ceremonial puck drops or on ice photos with players. There will be no man of the match presentations post game.

Man of the match will still be announced and the players applauded as they line up on each blue line, the players will skate around the arena to wave to the fans and then leave the ice as before.

 

 

SOTB AND 50/50

SOTB and 50/50 tickets will be exclusively on sale online, we encourage all fans home and away to support the club.

We will continue with our weekly online 50/50 and home game SOTB online ticket sales for those who wish to support the club in that manner and win some great prizes.

SOTB winners, can pick up their jersey at the next game or we can send it out to the winner once the jersey has been laundered.

Unfortunately, Chuck A Puck will not happen in the short term, as we evaluate the best way to conduct this enjoyable part of the evening, in the safest manner.

PLAYER INTERACTION

Unfortunately, we will need to minimise player and fan interaction. The players will not be able to pose for photos/selfies with fans or sign autographs, Pre game or post game.

We ask that fans don’t hand in memorabilia to the be signed by the players at this time.

Fans will be asked to leave the DIA main arena, at the end of each game to ensure that we keep everyone as safe as possible.

WEE BAR

The wee bar will be reserved for the exclusive use of players, staff and officials for the entirety of pregame, during the game and post-game and will be only accessible to staff, players and officials of the Kitmart Dundee Stars.

MASSIVE THANKS

We thank everyone for their understanding and patience, as we continue professional ice hockey during Scottish Government restrictions.

Following the guidelines will allow us to maintain the safety of everyone at DIA and allow us to enjoy the sport that we all love!

HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

We hope to slowly re introduce or relax measures as the season progresses and restrictions have been lifted, which will allow us to again get back to our ethos as a massive community club and allow our players to be fantastic ambassadors for the Kitmart Dundee Stars once again.
