Stars Head Coach, Marc LeFebvre took his squad out on the ice for the first time as a full team on Monday afternoon and began putting the players through their paces.

Now in his fifth training camp at the DIA, Dow was excited to get out on the ice and get to know this year’s squad.

He said: “It is great to be back out there and it was a lot of fun to see and meet all the guys.

“All these camps are usually the same, it is just about getting the rhythm back, getting the hands and feet going again, then getting the conditioning back.

“It is good to see all the guys came here in great shape and everyone is skating hard right off the bat.

“I thought it was a good session, we clearly have a lot of team speed and I am looking forward to this season a lot.”

Coach LeFebvre has stated all summer-long that the ambition is for this team to bring a championship back to Dundee and the 30-year-old blueliner believes that this is a side that can compete for silverware.

Drydn added: “We have set lofty goals for ourselves, we want to win a championship this year, that is a big thing for us and I feel like we have put together a team that definitely has a chance to compete.

“We are going to play a hard game and it is going to be a fun game for the fans to watch, so I am really excited to see what we have and what we can do this year.”

You can see Drydn and the rest of the Stars team play their first match of the season this Sunday, when Fife Flyers come to the DIA as part of a double header of friendly fixtures over the weekend.
