The Kitmart Dundee Stars are excited to announce that Matt Marquardt will be our captain for season 2019/20!

Matt Marquardt couldn’t be happier to be back in Dundee and named as Dundee Stars captain, as he returns to the club for his 2nd season

“It is an absolute honour to be named captain of the Dundee Stars. We have a great group here.
The team chemistry is excellent, we all love coming to the rink and working together.

“Although our team is young, we have leadership by committee here at the Stars. Many of our guys have been captains and assistants in their careers and will all provide leadership (I’m just the oldest haha).

“We’re all proud to represent our club, our fans and the city of Dundee on and off the ice.

“It’s business as usual, it doesn’t change the approach or the process, but I am honoured and take a lot of pride in being named captain.”

Omar Pacha commented,

“We have discussed throughout the off season with Matt, what his role will be for the coming season. He is a great hockey player, great person and he is a born leader.

“We believe it’s a great move for the club and we are confident that he will excel in his new role.”

We face off against Glasgow Clan at Dundee Ice Arena on Sunday night at 5.00pm. Buy your tickets HERE!
