Hi Stars fans,

I hope everyone is well and taking the necessary precautions during these unprecedented times.

I’ve been in regular contact with numerous people in the hockey world in the UK & across the world, and it’s fair to say this whole outbreak has affected everyone.

Similar to many businesses both locally, nationally and internationally, we as an organisation have been directly affected by Covid-19.

From a hockey perspective, it is extremely unfortunate, especially with the tremendous strides we have taken in recent years both on and off the ice, but as I mentioned earlier, hockey comes second during these tough times.

That said, I know if everyone follows Government advice, eventually we will all overcome this together.

At times like these, it is vital we all stick together from ownership, to management, players, through to our incredible fans and sponsors.

I am even more laser focused than before to get back on track and maintain our progression as a Club and to put the most competitive team back on the ice.

I want to thank our amazing fans, sponsors, OSC , Stars TV, Dundee Ice Arena and all staff and volunteers involved with the Stars. You are so vital to the club and we thank you from everyone at the Stars.

I’d like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to our players for their commitment throughout this season.

We were blessed with an amazing group this season, a really committed bunch who bought in and loved playing in Dundee and for you the fans.

In these difficult times, maybe people are struggling to find positives, but one thing I will say is that every player took pride in playing for the Stars and making a difference on and off the ice here in Dundee, whether it be in the schools, doing the weekly Stars Juniors programme and the various community events.

The players , similar to myself, believed we had unfinished business and were on a roll to get that final playoff berth, but the current situation is what it is and some things are more important than hockey, this current situation is definitely one of those.

I wanted to share some information with you that will hopefully answer some of the questions that I’ve seen raised:

Season Ticket Holders:

Our season tickets holders are a HUGE part of this organisation. I can’t thank all our fans enough for the unconditional support, especially in these tough times.

On a personal level, I can’t thank you enough for believing in our ethos and the vision we have for this Club.

I am sure you have all seen the progression over the past few seasons with a lot of new faces in the stands and this remains priority number one to maintain that growth and build for the future of the Stars and Ice Hockey in the city.

I know these are tough times for everyone, but we are encouraging all season ticket holders to renew for next season and we look to encourage new fans to purchase their season tickets.

With this in mind, we have been rolling out a payment plan that will be appropriate to YOUR demands and have 0% interest for up to 12 months. Email [email protected] for more details.

Sponsors :

We have heard from many of you in the past few days and the feedback has been sensational, I cannot thank you enough. We will be in constant communication and we again want to say thank you for all your continued support.

End of Season Awards:

We will be hosting our first awards week on our social media platforms starting tonight from 6.30pm onwards. This will be Monday through to Friday when we will be announcing the various award winners. So tune into our socials then.

Support:

We have received a great amount of support and also many people have been asking about making donations to the Club during these tough times, whilst very conscious that everyone is in the same boat. We will be reviewing this and we will communicate accordingly.

On that note, many of you took advantage of our online SOTB and 50/50 competitions, that we ran last night. We will continue these throughout the summer, if the fans continue to buy tickets like you did last night. Huge thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and congratulations to our winners.

Up this week will be a chance to win Matt Carters home jersey and more cash in our Stars online 50/50

20th Season:

As we are entering our 20th professional season, we have some great plans in place to celebrate the Clubs history, so I really cannot wait until we are in calmer waters and get the 20/21 season up and running.

EIHL NEWS:

The Elite League and all Clubs are working together on a weekly basis to determine the scenarios and events happening over the next few months. Please stay tuned to our various platforms and the Elite League Website

Thank you and stay safe, Pach
