Hi Stars fans,
I hope all is well and everyone is staying safe. I want to take this opportunity to thank every single Dundee Stars fan for the support that you have shown to the Club during this unprecedented time.
Whether you are a season ticket holder, a member of our new Gold Club or even a casual fan that follows the team, thank you. When times are difficult, we will have to stick together and I feel as a club we united more than ever during this pandemic.
As you know, over a week ago we launched our Gold Membership Club initiative. We couldn’t be happier with the start of this new project and the positive feedback received from all our fans, other teams and their fans around the league. The numbers have been very impressive and I am hopeful we will have more members joining in the next few weeks, especially with the next fantastic prize we have for members who have signed up before 7.30pm on 30th October. I am aware many people are missing the hockey, it certainly isn’t easy. I can reassure our fans that we are working hard behind the scenes to not only stay relevant but also to utilise this time to improve every area of the Club.
Nobody really knows what the future holds, however I truly believe that the EIHL will return strong as the UK’s most popular indoor sports league and with the backing of our amazing fans and sponsors, the Stars will be at the very heart of that comeback.
Something that we have introduced over the pandemic period is our Friday night show. We have had many different individuals from the hockey world and beyond appear each week.
It is noticeable from talking with the players on the show, the passion and support of the Dundee fanbase left an everlasting positive impression on them. I feel it’s important to say that is very unique. You welcome players in with open hearts and have made lifelong memories of Dundee for them.
I am excited to announce that moving forward, we will be launching two main initiatives in the coming weeks;
The first is for any Gold Club Members who are signed up to the Gold club before the 30th October, will be entered into a raffle to receive two FREE final four whole weekend passes for the 2021/22 season.
This is another fantastic prize, following on from HockeyGran – Margaret Milne winning the first Gold Club giveaway of pregame hospitality for six at the Weavers Mill and 6 tickets to our first preseason game of the 2021/22 season.
The draw will be hosted live on our social media platforms with every Gold Club member who has signed up before the 30th October at 7.30pm entered for a chance to win. Pledges start from just £10 per month and there are plenty more benefits for joining today. To join you can pledge HERE!
Secondly, the next project is probably going to be one of our coolest experiments to date and an EIHL first. I won’t give too much away right now, but keep your eyes on our official Stars social media in the coming weeks.
