Fife opened the scoring in a back-and-forth opening period through David Booth, who capitalised on extended pressure in the Stars’ zone and fired a shot from the high slot above the glove of Emil Kruse at 03:50.
Ian Scheid doubled the Flyers’ lead at 11:27, collecting a pass from behind the net by Giordano Finoro and snapping a quick shot past Kruse.

Spencer Naas got the Stars on the board at 32:13, pouncing on a turnover in the Flyers’ zone and slotting the puck past Shane Owen to make it 2-1.
A misplay in the Stars’ zone sent Logan Neilson in alone on a breakaway, restoring Fife’s two-goal lead with a shot from the right circle over the blocker of Emil Kruse at 33:48.
Booth scored his second of the game at 35:48, making it 4-1 with a slapshot in tight past Kruse.

Kameron Kielly pulled a goal back for the Stars at 53:18, beating Owen with a strong wrist shot past the blocker to cut the deficit to two.
Despite a late push by the Stars, including pulling Kruse late for the extra attacker, the Flyers held on to secure the two points in Fife.
