Otto Nieminen levelled the score at 48:51, capitalising on a Manchester error before poking the puck past the pads of Drew DeRidder.

Neither side could find a winner in the closing stages of regulation, sending the game to overtime.
Despite a thrilling extra frame, which saw both teams strike the post on multiple occasions, the deadlock remained, and the contest was sent to a shootout.
Dante Hannoun and J.D. Dudek converted in the shootout for Manchester, while Drew DeRidder turned aside all Stars attempts to secure the extra point for the Storm.
