Belfast opened the scoring through Marcus Eriksson, who fired a tight-angle shot above Jarrett Fiske at 02:14.
Matt Boudens took exception to a hit behind the play by Bo Hanson, leading to a feisty exchange in which the Stars’ alternate captain got the better of the Giants defenceman.
David Goodwin doubled the Giants’ lead at 15:49, ripping a onetimer from the high slot past Fiske.
The Giants appeared to add a third just twenty seconds later, but following a referee-initiated review, the goal was overturned for goaltender interference and the score remained 2-0.

A back-and-forth second period saw neither side find the back of the net, despite shots sitting level at seven apiece and both teams earning a powerplay opportunity.

Nicolas Guay made it 3-0 at 41:40, blasting a onetimer from the left circle past Fiske.
Morten Jürgens got the Stars on the board at 53:33, converting off extended pressure in the Giants’ zone as he buried a rebound from the slot past Jackson Whistle.
Despite a late push by the Stars — including an aggressive penalty kill that generated more chances than it conceded — Dundee couldn’t find another, as Belfast held on for a 3-1 victory.
