The Swedish blueliner is not only an experienced pro on the Stars back-end but is well versed with the EIHL and its teams, providing a much-needed knowledge of how to play against every team in the league and what it takes to win in the different arenas.
Erik has been a steadying presence in the Dundee defensive zone and has shown his passion, determination and commitment to the cause in the biggest of matches, such as the Tayside Derbies against his old club, Fife Flyers.
Stars Head Coach, Jeff Mason then shared his thoughts on Erik’s performances and what he brings to the team, he said: “He is a veteran on our d-core and he has played in this league before, so he is an important part of the team.
“He knows how different teams play and he helps us by being steady on the back end, he is also smart but simple with the way he moves pucks out of our end quickly and he can help out the guys who are still trying to adjust to this league with his experience and number of years at the pro level.
“So, he just has to continue being that steadying presence on the back end and help us be simple and effective, by moving pucks and getting us going up the ice.”
Face-off is at 7pm for tonight’s home game against the Devils, you can purchase tickets HERE.
