The Kitmart Dundee Stars are looking to complete the sweep of their Danish opponents tonight in the second and final game of their preseason preparations.

The Stars came out 4-2 winners against the Odense Bulldogs at the Dundee Ice Arena last night, scoring all four of their goals in the third period.

Vojtech Komarek gave the Danish club the lead in the 28th minute and they held their one-goal advantage until Kevin Dufour opened Dundee’s account after 43 minutes.

Brett Stovin quickly put Stars in front on the 46-minute mark before 113 seconds later, all of Dundee’s hard work was undone as Asger Petersen got some puck luck to tie the game.

Stovin was again the man to put the Stars in front with just five minutes left and Colton Kroeker sealed the win when he added the fourth goal in the final minute.

Elgin Pearce was the only Stars player to not ice on Saturday night but head coach, Omar Pacha confirmed he will be in the line-up for Sunday’s tie.

The possibility of goaltender, Brython Preece seeing some ice time is also likely.

Brython Preece is ready to come in at any moment.

The Welshman says he will be ready if he gets the nod and is up for the challenge.

Brython said: “It felt good being on the ice week this week, it would be good to get a chance to play some minutes on Sunday.

“It will still be a challenge but it’s been a good week, so I feel good going into it and if I  get the chance to play on Sunday then hopefully I do well.”

Preece got a good look at the Bulldogs on Saturday night and seen their potential to be an offensive threat.

He added: “They are a good team but we competed well last night.

“Getting to the end of the game, the boys picked it up and started getting all the systems going and everything was working.”

Starting or not, his pre-game routine won’t differ and the 21-year-old continued:

“My routine would stay the same, it doesn’t matter if I am starting or not starting or coming in during a game, my routine doesn’t change.

“I eat the same meal, prepare the same way and I will be ready for whenever I am called on.”

Both sides are raring to get back out there as they face-off again at 5pm on Sunday. Buy your tickets HERE!
