The MKM Dundee Stars are thrilled to announce the signings of Zach Taylor and Quinn Ryan, who will both arrive in Scotland imminently. Subject to international clearance, they’ll be in the lineup as soon as possible to help us push further up the standings.

Zach Taylor – Defence

Taylor is a dependable and puck-moving defenceman hailing from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

After an outstanding university career with the Brock University Badgers, where he was named OUA West Defenceman of the Year and earned First All-Star honours, Zach turned pro and has played across North America and Europe.

He’s skated for the Rapid City Rush and most recently suited up with the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL, as well as playing overseas in Slovakia and Denmark with HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas and Herning Blue Fox.

With his offensive instincts and defensive calm, Zach will bring composure and creativity from the back end.

Head Coach Marc Lefebvre commented;

“Zach is a smooth skating two way defenseman. He has a very good first pass and can transport the puck up ice something we have struggled with at points this season.

He brings experience on the bigger European ice which should help him adjust quickly”

Zach will wear #7

Quinn Ryan – Forward

A versatile and crafty forward from Branchville, New Jersey, Quinn’s journey has taken him from collegiate hockey to the professional ranks.

He starred at Liberty University, putting up big numbers over five seasons and earning ACHA Player of the Year honours, before progressing into the ECHL, where he’s been productive with the Utah Grizzlies, Indy Fuel and Worcester Railers.

More recently he was rostered with the Norfolk Admirals before making the move to Dundee. Quinn brings speed, vision and an experienced two-way game — traits that will fit right into our forward group.

Marc Lefebvre added;

“Quinn is dynamic player who brings skill and speed to our forward group. We need some more flair to our offensive group and Quinn’s skill set will contribute to that”

“Both players know what it means to compete at a high level and we’re excited to see how their experience and skills add to our locker room.”

Quinn will wear #53
