The Kitmart Dundee Stars are delighted to announce that our annual Teddy Toss will take place this year at our game against Sheffield Steelers on 9 December.
The Teddy Toss is a hockey tradition where fans throw teddies and toys on to the ice after the first Stars goal. The teddies are then distributed to sick or less vulnerable children across the city ahead of the festive period.
Once again, this season we will be supporting the Ninewells Hospital Children’s Ward and Tay FM Mission Christmas.
Stars commercial manager Elliot Shaw looked ahead to this season’s teddy toss fixture commenting, “the Teddy Toss game is always a fantastic night. Last year we had a record breaking number of teddies thrown on to the ice and I am sure we will further that number again this season. The initiative is a great hockey tradition and allows us to further our connection with the local community at an important time of year”.
