The Kitmart Dundee Stars are delighted to announce The ARCHIE Foundation, as its official charity partner for season 2019/20.

The ARCHIE Foundation is the official charity of Tayside Children’s Hospital in Dundee helping to make the difference for sick local children. Everything raised in Tayside will stay in Tayside – so you know your donations will help children from your local community.

Over the course of the season, the Stars will help raise the profile of ARCHIE around the UK as well as helping to raise vital funds. We will hold various events throughout the season, including our charity match wearing a unique charity jersey which we will auction off at the end of that game.

We are also encouraging fans to undertake charity events, the Dundee Kiltwalk, bake sales, santa dash, beard for bairns, sponsored silences or anything that could benefit the ARCHIE appeal.

Dundee Stars, Commercial Manager Michael Ward commented:

“The club are thrilled to begin a new charity partnership and we are absolutely delighted to be teaming up with the ARCHIE Foundation for season 2019/20.

“We have been proud to sponsor an Oor Wullie, on the Oor Wullie Big Bucket Trail this summer. Aar Wullie, which can be found next to the HMS Unicorn.”

Sarah Johnston, Fundraising Manager for The ARCHIE Foundation, said:

“We are delighted to have the continued support of the Kitmart Dundee Stars and their supporters.

“Having such a high-profile club, choose us as their charity of the season is just incredible. The ARCHIE Foundation is sure to reap so many benefits from this opportunity and we can’t thank the club enough.

“We can’t wait to work with everyone at club in the coming months on exciting fundraising ideas which will make the difference for sick children in Tayside.”

“And, of course, we’ll be cheering the Stars on throughout the coming Elite Ice Hockey League season.”

Keep an eye out on our website and social media platforms for upcoming events, where we will be collaborating with the ARCHIE Foundation.
