The Kitmart Dundee Stars are delighted to be supporting Dundee Foodbank for the 3rd consecutive season at this Sunday’s game against Fife Flyers (Face-off 5pm).

The club are looking for fans of Dundee and Fife to get involved in the cause and help those in the City at a time of need.

Dundee Foodbank are urgently looking for the following items:

– Tinned Fruit
– Tinned Puddings
– Tinned Meat
– Tinned Fish
– UHT Milk
– Coffee
– Toiletries
– Jars of pasta sauce

Fans can hand over their donations on game night at our designated Foodbank stall.

The Dundee Foodbank will be on hand to then distribute the items to users. The Foodbank are also going to conduct a bucket collection, for any cash donations.

Everyone at the club would like to thank those fans of both clubs for taking part in the collection in advance.

Stars head coach and general manager, Omar Pacha commented:

“We are very privileged to associate ourselves again with the Dundee Foodbank for the third consecutive year.

“As a club we feel it is our responsibility to give back to the community and anytime we have an opportunity to participate in events like this and raise awareness and help the local community is very important for us.

“It is going to be a great opportunity for this relationship to grow and especially at a game that is going to be heavily attended.”

Michael Calder, Manager of Dundee Foodbank added:

“Unfortunately our demand is going up and up this year, so we are finding it ever more difficult to meet that demand.

“That is why it is so important to have these partnerships with the likes of Dundee Stars.

“This will be our third time collecting at Dundee Ice Arena and the previous two times it has been fantastic, so hopefully we will get a similar response on Sunday.”
