The Trade-Mart Dundee Stars are delighted to announce the re-signing of American netminder, Jarrett Fiske for the 2025-2026 Elite League campaign.

The 25-year-old goalie will return to Tayside for a second season after a successful rookie campaign with the club, as he played a pivotal role in helping the team reach the playoff quarter-finals.

Jarrett made a total of 40 appearances for the Stars in the 2024-2025 season, where he posted a save percentage of .912% in 32 league matches and he would backstop the Stars to 12 wins in those games, whilst recording a goals against average (GAA) of 3.23.

Fiske also stopped .908% of the 226 shots he faced in the Challenge Cup and holds a 3.15 GAA in the cup but over the full season, he allowed only 124 goals on 1,494 shots against.

The native of Erie, Pennsylvania joined the club last summer from Niagara University, where he had played in 29 games and recorded a save percentage of .912%, a goals against average of 2.72 and was also nominated for the Hobey Baker Award – which is awarded to the best player in the NCAA each season.

The American is also a two-time NCAA (Atlantic Hockey Association) Champion, a three-time AHA Regular Season Champion and in 2023, he was named Goaltender of the Year in the AHA, whilst icing for American International College.

LEFEBVRE ON FISKE

After securing the signature of Fiske for a second season and the first half of his goaltending tandem, Stars Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach, Marc LeFebvre, said: “Jarrett came on leaps and bounds this season, you saw how he progressed as he was given more opportunities and in the role as the starter towards the latter half of the season.

“He earned it and he gave us a chance to win every night and that is all you can ask of your goalies.

“He is eager to learn, he is very gracious of the opportunity he has to play here in Dundee and he is going to be one of our two import goalies for the next season, but he still has a lot to learn and there is room for growth there.

“So, bringing in a veteran goalie to play with him and mentor him, will make him even better and I think what he needs to keep developing, but he has shown quite a bit this season and we were quite impressed with him, especially his work ethic and his professionalism.

“I think there is more to come from him, he is a great teammate and the guys in the room love him, so we are happy to have him back and we want him to keep battling for that starting spot every night.”

FISKE ON THE OPPORTUNITY

After penning his contract extension, Jarrett said: “I am incredibly blessed for the opportunity to return to Dundee.

“The community welcomed me with open arms this past season and I am grateful for the hospitality and support they have given me throughout this year.

“It was an easy choice when presented the opportunity to stay.

“Marc is a great coach and the fans along with the atmosphere of the DIA were also an incentive to return.”

Sharing what his goals are for his second season of professional hockey, Fiske continued: “I want to continually grow as a professional, and do what I can to propel the organisation to a higher standard.

“Additionally, the goal is to win trophies for this city and organisation.”

Jarrett is our 1st signing of the summer and joins Drydn Dow and Jonathan McBean on next season’s roster.

Fiske will again wear #33 for the Stars!
