The Stars and Flames were evenly matched last season, each taking three victories from their six encounters.
Keanu Yamamoto and Kameron Kielly both tallied two goals and two assists, Spencer Naas added four assists, while Drydn Dow and Jonathan McBean also contributed three points apiece. Ethan Strang and Josh Waller led the way for the Flames with six points each, while Matt Alvaro topped all players with four goals.
Guildford currently sit seventh in the regular-season standings, having won three of their opening six games. Cole Ully leads with six points, while Justin Fazio has established himself as the starting netminder, posting a .929 save percentage and a 2.67 goals-against average.
A midweek defeat to the Sheffield Steelers has derailed any momentum the Flames may have built, something the Stars will look to capitalise on tonight as they hunt for their first win of the regular season.

Dundee and Glasgow have already met twice in this Challenge Cup campaign, each taking one win. The Stars secured a commanding 6-2 victory on home ice in the first encounter, while the Clan edged out a 6-5 overtime win in the return fixture a week later.
The Stars’ depth was on full display, with nine different players finding the back of the net across these meetings — Spencer Naas, Ben Almquist, Keanu Yamamoto, Kris Inglis, Justin Bean, Jackson DeSouza, Griffin Luce, Morten Jürgens, and Hampus Olsson.
Tristin Langan led the Clan with three goals, followed by Miihkali Teppo with two, while Cade Neilson, Rylan Schwartz, and Brett Neumann also found the back of the net.
Dundee currently sit second in Group B of the Challenge Cup and are looking to overtake Belfast at the top. Glasgow, meanwhile, are just three points behind the Stars, and will be aiming to close the gap in the standings.
