Schoenborn has missed the last four weeks due to a lower body injury he picked up when the Stars last played the Glasgow Clan in January.

The Stars welcome Glasgow Clan on Saturday night to Dundee Ice Arena, in what will prove to be a MASSIVE game for both clubs. You can buy your tickets NOW!

Since joining in December, the American winger has made 12 appearances, scoring twice, Alex says he is hopeful of getting back into the line-up soon.

Alex said: “I am feeling good in practice, we will see how the today’s practice goes but I am hoping to get back out there soon.”

Sitting in the stands watching your team win and lose without being able to contribute is one of the toughest parts of ice hockey and any sport, but the 24-year-old insists he is finished watching and is eager to get back involved.

Schoenborn added: “It sucks, I mean it is unfortunate but there is nothing you can do about it.

“I have been training hard since, so I will be ready to contribute when I am back out there.”

He continued: “It is exciting because we are just outside that playoff spot now, so we have to get back in there and I don’t like watching, I am done watching, so I am excited to actually make an impact again.”

When Alex joined the club, the Stars were sitting at the foot of the table and he was quickly surprised that the team had joined were in last place but the native of North Dakota believes the team will make it to the post-season.

He said: “I am very confident that we will make it, since the day I have arrived here, I couldn’t believe we were in the spot that we were in with the group of guys here.

“We have a really skilled team, we are working hard and I believe we are going to do it.”

This Saturday, the Stars take on the Clan for the final time at home this season and you can buy your tickets for this massive playoff battle HERE.

#OperationSellOut2 will face-off at 7pm.
