This will be the left winger’s first game against both of those sides and he is excited to get going this weekend.

Matt said: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend, Glasgow will be a tough opponent, as is every team in the league but it will definitely be an exciting game in Dundee tonight.

“Every game for us is so important, these two teams this weekend are in our sights to catch, so we need to stick to our game plan that has given us our success.

“Sunday is going to be another tough game in Manchester but we need to show up and have a strong start and play a full 60 minutes of our game if we want to get that important win.”

The Stars claimed a sensation victory over the Cardiff Devils on their last outing as they led the Welsh side all night long to claim a 5-2 win.

Reflecting on last Sunday’s win, Carter said: “It felt great, especially after falling short to Coventry the night before, we came back to Dundee and played the right way for 60 minutes.”

During a tough weekend where the team battled back against Coventry Blaze and fended off the Devils, a few knocks were picked up but Carter told of how the team all bought in together.

He said: “Everybody here has bumps and bruises and some have more than that, but we have a lot of character in our room and our guys are all pulling on the rope together no matter how banged up they are.”

The Stars face-off at 7:30pm against Glasgow Clan on tonight before visiting Manchester Storm on Sunday. You can buy your tickets for tonight’s home match HERE.
