The Playoffs of the EIHL’s Elite Series begin tonight with the first legs of both Semi-Finals taking place and both matches are set to be closely fought out and full of entertainment.

Semi-Final 1 Leg 1: (2) Coventry Blaze V Nottingham Panthers (3)

The first post-season match bring us Coventry hosting Nottingham, after Danny Stewart selected home advantage for his side’s first leg against the number three seeds.

Despite winning three of their four regular season meeting with the Panthers, the Blaze will be coming up against an inform side, as Tim Wallace’s men have won five of their last seven fixtures.

Tonight’s second match sees the first overall seeds, Sheffield take-on the Storm, who slipped to the foot of the table of the last day.

However, in their four meetings with each other this season, the results were split at two wins each and there is no indication who will come out on top.
