Fife opened the scoring through Reece Kelly, who fired a one-timer from the blue line through traffic and past Vladislav Pestov at 04:32.
Michael Drabek doubled the home side’s lead at 06:08, winning a footrace for a loose puck and poking it into the Stars’ net.
Garet Hunt made it 3-0 at 15:43, with the Flyers captain putting home a rebound after Pestov had made an initial save on a shot from Joey Pierce.
Joona Vainio made it 4-0 just after the halfway point of the game, capitalising on a defensive mistake in the Stars’ zone and firing home a cross-crease pass from Evan Dougherty at 34:08.
The Stars pulled a goal back late through Brodi Stuart, who fired a quick wrist shot above Dominik Groh at 39:58 to make it 4-1 heading into the final period.
Kyle Watson regained the Flyers’ four-goal cushion at 48:23, beating Pestov with a shot off the rush to make it 5-1.
Sebastian Bengtsson responded less than two minutes later, with the Swede rifling a powerful shot from distance past Groh and into the Flyers’ net at 50:47.
Zach Power made it 6-2 at 58:37, firing a one-timer from in close past Pestov on a delayed penalty call.
Michael Drabek finalised the scoring late, making it 7-2 as he beat Pestov with a shot off the rush for his second of the night.
