LEFEBVRE ON ISAACSON
Once the deal was completed to make Isaacson a Star, Stars Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach, Marc LeFebvre, said: “Nick is a big body that plays the game hard and brings more size, depth and sand paper to our lineup.
“He skates really well and is heavy on the forecheck, which takes away opponents time and space.
“He battles hard at the net front and will be an asset to us in many different areas, so I am excited to have him joining our group for this season.”
ISAACSON ON BECOMING A STAR
After he penned his first contract to play European hockey, Nick said: “I am super excited, hopefully we can have a really good season and I am excited to meet the rest of the team.
“Marc was great, I chatted to him a few times and he was very open and on honest with me, he told me a bit about the team and how they did last year but that we obviously want to improve this year.
“I was not sure what I wanted to do then this offer came up and I was super excited about it and from talking with Marc, everything sounded like it is a really nice place and I talked to a few friends who have played there in the past and they all loved their time there.
“I am super excited to meet all of you, I have heard the fans in Dundee are incredible and hopefully we can have a good regular season and make a playoff run.”
In his 12-year-career so far, Nick has featured in 468 matches, recorded 94 goals, 102 assists and collected 434 penalty minutes, while also playing in 16 playoff games, where he tallied 4 points (2G, 2A) and 11 penalty minutes.
