Glasgow opened the scoring in a fast paced first period, with Chris McKay taking advantage of extended pressure in the Stars’ zone and firing a shot which was redirected past Emil Kruse by Tristin Langan at 12:07.

Brady Risk doubled the homeside’s lead at 17:51, beating Kruse with a top corner shot to make it 2-0.

Neither team could find the back of the net in a back-and-forth second, despite chances on both ends of the ice. Both sides gained two powerplay opportunities apiece, with neither being able to convert.

Kruse displayed some phenomenal goaltending for the Stars, including a diving save at the midway point to rob a Clan forward, while Sami Aittokallio was sharp for the Clan.

Brett Neumann added a third at 47:24, capitalising on a turnover in the Stars’ zone to beat Kruse in close.

Neumann then scored his second of the game at 55:09, finishing a two-on-one rush to finalise the scoring.
