Ahead of tonight’s road game against Nottingham Panthers, this week’s One to Watch spotlight shines on one of the Stars scintillating top scorers, Philippe Sanche.

Back for a second year, after recording 54 points through 58 games last season, Sanche has once again hit the ground running in Dundee, but only this time with a lot more pace.

The Canadian winger has scored a point in every game since he arrived back on Tayside in August and through those 11 games, he has recorded 8 goals and 11 assists.

The native of Mercier, Quebec has already exceeded his early expectations following his standout rookie campaign last year and now Phil has shown his all-round game has progressed massively over the summer.

Speaking about the hot start Sanche has made to the season, Stars Head Coach, Jeff Mason said: “I have been extremely impressed with Phil this year, more so than I thought I would.

“He has been a true leader on this team and gives everything out there, he contributes offensively and come up with some big plays for us.

“So, he has been extremely important for us and I am extremely played with how he is playing.”
