The Kitmart Dundee Stars are delighted to be supporting the Breast Cancer Now charity again this year. As a result we will be hosting another Pink the Rink evening at the Dundee Ice Arena this season.

The special night will be held on Sunday, November 3rd, when the Cardiff Devils come to town.

To raise awareness for Breast Cancer Now, the players will once again wear specially designed one-off jerseys for the match and they will be auctioned off after the first period of that match in the big bar.

As well as the jersey auction there will also be bucket collections on the night and a charity table.

Ali Macintyre, Fundraising Manager (Scotland) at Breast Cancer Now, the research and care charity, said:

“Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK – around 4,700 people are diagnosed with breast cancer and around 1,000 people die from the disease each year in Scotland.

We must act now to make greater progress for everyone affected by this disease.

“We are so grateful to everyone who supports our work and helps us to continue to fund world-class breast cancer research and life-changing support.

On behalf of Breast Cancer Now, I would like to sincerely thank Dundee Stars for all their continued support and we wish them all the very best for their upcoming Pink the Rink event during their match against Cardiff Devils.”

Stars head coach and general manager, Omar Pacha was delighted to be teaming up with this important and wonderful charity again.

“We as a club are extremely delighted to be supporting Breast Cancer Now again, it will be a huge night and it is great to get involved with charities like them.

“We love to give back to our community and to be a part of something special like this is just amazing.
