By Kris Smith

In the club’s 10th season, they finished eighth in the Elite League with 41 points from 54 fixtures and that was enough to secure them a playoff berth.

In the 10 team league, the Stars won 35 per cent of their Elite League matches that season but finished 18 points behind there Scottish rivals, Braehead Clan and 26 points ahead of fellow Scots, Edinburgh Capitals.

Also, Dundee had a negative goal difference of -78 in that campaign after scoring 201 goals and conceding 279 times across the Elite League, playoffs and Challenge Cup.

After qualifying for their first Elite League playoffs, the Stars won their only home tie, as they came close to eliminating Sheffield Steelers 6-1 lead from the first leg but their 4-2 victory at the DIA wasn’t enough.

There are also a few players who made their mark that season and found a place in the all-time stars per season charts,

Both Chris Zarb and Steve Makway recorded high penalty minutes totals that had them ranked in the top five of the most penalty minutes in a season.

Chris Zarb was ranked third on the list with his 177 minutes and Makway holds fifth with 170 in the 2010-2011 season.

Also, some of the club’s all-time statistics leader played their final season in a Stars shirt that campaign.
