The MKM Dundee Stars are delighted to announce the return of Dundonian-born goaltender Dominick Jaglar for the 2026/27 season.

Jaglar, 19, returns after joining the Stars on a full-time basis ahead of the 2025/26 season, having previously spent the 2024/25 campaign on a two-way deal with the Aberdeen Lynx of the Scottish National League.

During the 2024/25 season, he appeared in 26 games for the Lynx, backstopping the club to the SNL title while posting a .913 save percentage and a 2.90 goals-against average.

A product of the Dundee Stars junior system, Jaglar also spent time developing in England and Finland. He has represented Scotland at the U13 and U15 level, as well as Great Britain at the U16 level.

He also has an NIHL1 North Championship and NIHL1 North Cup Championship to his name, captured with the Solway Sharks during the 2022/23 season.

In February, Jaglar made his senior international debut for Great Britain at the IIHF European Cup of Nations, dressing as the backup netminder in a 5-4 victory over Poland.

Speaking about returning to the Stars, Jaglar said:

“I’m extremely delighted. It’s a new season so it’s very good to get into the swing of things, especially with a new coach, so I’m excited to be here.”

Discussing his goals for the season, he added:

“Scott’s going to give me a few programmes for this season, so I feel like I’m already going to make more progression than I did last season. Last season was good, but I didn’t get the ice time I feel I could’ve had. It’s a fresh start, so hopefully I can prove I can play in this league and get a few games under my belt.”

Finally, Jaglar shared a message for Stars fans:

“Can’t wait to see you, Stars fans. It’s going to be a very exciting season, so I’ll see you then.”

Head Coach Scott Dutertre spoke about Jaglar’s continued development:

“I think this is a great development opportunity for both sides.”

“For us as an organisation, it’s about being able to work with a young guy like Dom. For him, it’s the opportunity to work his way into a lineup and become a mainstay in this league, which is ultimately his goal.”

Jaglar is our 21st signing of the summer, joining Josh Nelson, Jonathan McBean, Ben BrownTravis Ewanyk, Keaton Jameson, Craig Moore, Evan Brand, Tyson Laventure, Gary Haden, Matt DeBoer, Zack Hoffman, Brodi Stuart, Kris Inglis, Sebastian Bengtsson, Vladislav Pestov, Sean Strange, Rasmus Nousiainen, Duggie LagroneCarl Stankowski and Maxim Eliseev on next season’s roster.
