The Kitmart Dundee Stars continued the hockey ritual of the teddy toss with another record-breaker last Sunday. Over 450 teddies hit the ice after François Bouchard’s goal opened the scoring in the second period against Sheffield Steelers.

The teddies were then collected from the ice, organised over the week by our community team and distributed to charities such as Wave FM Help for Kids, Tay FM Mission Christmas and the Children’s Ward at Ninewells Hospital.

The Teddy Toss has evolved into an annual tradition at the Stars organisation, giving back to those children less fortunate in the local community at Christmas time.

Stars commercial manager Elliot Shaw commented, “everyone in the organisation is delighted with the response of our annual Teddy Toss. It was another record breaker with a massive amount of donations. The initiative is a great way of giving back to the local community during the holiday season”.

The club would like to thank all fans who donated at last Sunday’s game.
