With eight places in the post-season up for grabs, the Stars still have a very high chance of finishing in one of the final two berths.
However, as things stand they are sitting outside the top eight by a single point, but with a few games in hand over Storm and one over Clan, that favours their chances of reaching the playoffs.
The top six teams are jostling for position and the lead in the table, as the league title is still wide open, but the last four teams are all very close and are scrapping for the final two tickets to the playoffs.
Manchester Storm, Glasgow Clan and Fife Flyers are the three other teams that are fighting it out with Dundee for the last two spots and Omar Pacha’s men are still to play the Clan twice in their next eight matches.
Glasgow are in fact the Stars next opponents and will come to Tayside this Saturday for an all important battle in the race for the playoffs. Buy your tickets HERE!
A win can lift Dundee back into the top eight and put them a point ahead of the Clan, whilst still holding their game in hand over the Braehead club.
Also, if results go their way, then the Stars will also close the gap to just one point between themselves and seventh-placed Manchester.
The league has entered its final month of the regular season and over the next 26 days, Dundee will face; Glasgow Clan (H), Coventry Blaze (A), Cardiff Devils(H), Glasgow Clan (A), Sheffield Steelers back-to-back first (A) and return for the (H), Nottingham Panthers (H) and finally Guildford Flames (A) in that order.
Whilst meeting fellow post-season hopefuls, Glasgow twice, Pacha will also have to put his side up against league title contenders, Sheffield, Cardiff, Nottingham and Coventry.
Below you can see the four teams remaining fixtures and how they sit currently in the league standings.
Face-off for this Saturday’s MASSIVE Scottish derby is at 7.00pm and you can buy your tickets HERE!
