The Stars are coming off a 2-1 overtime defeat to the Cardiff Devils on Friday night at the Vindico Arena. Matt DeBoer found the back of the net, while Vladislav Pestov posted a .963 save percentage and made 53 saves.

“We talked in the pre-game about what we’ve been doing in our defensive zone, I think we’ve been doing a good job with that, and we talked about keeping some zone time in the offensive zone and keeping possession of the puck. We grinded one out tonight, we just couldn’t hold on right at the end,” said Head Coach Scott Dutertre post-game.

“I’m proud of our effort, we worked extremely hard tonight, it’s a tough one to lose at the end but everyone on our team contributed tonight.”

Dundee and Glasgow met just over a week ago at Braehead Arena, where the Clan claimed a 3-0 victory, their first under new head coach Jack Skille.

Glasgow earned a 3-2 overtime league victory in Guildford last Sunday, before extending their winning streak to three games on Friday night with a 6-3 home victory over the Fife Flyers.

Despite tonight’s game being a dead rubber, Dutertre still emphasises the importance of getting a win against the Clan.

“Every game matters. That’s why we’re here, to play to win every night.”
