Scott Dutertre’s side are coming off a 5-2 midweek defeat to the Guildford Flames on the road, snapping their three-game winning streak.

“We did a lot of really good things,” said Dutertre. “Guildford has many offensive threats. A couple of the breakdowns we had, they took advantage of. We hit a couple of posts early. That could’ve changed the momentum of the game. Overall, I was happy with our effort.”

“I thought we had some good offence, but we needed to manage our turnovers and breakdowns,” added Keaton Jameson, who scored both Stars goals in that game. “In a lot of games we’ve been getting outshot and playing in our own zone. I thought today we were better and can build off that.”

The Glasgow Clan recently appointed former NHL forward Jack Skille as head coach, with the game marking his first behind the bench in Braehead.

Dundee and Glasgow last met just over two weeks ago at Braehead Arena, with the Stars coming back from a 3-5 deficit to secure a 6-5 overtime victory.

That night saw Keaton Jameson score a hat trick against his former team, while Sebastian Bengtsson, Travis Ewanyk and Gary Haden all recorded multi-point nights. Rasmus Nousiainen also registered a Gordie Howe hat trick, contributing a goal, an assist and a fight.

The Clan are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to the Belfast Giants in Northern Ireland and will look to make a strong first impression under their new head coach against the Stars.

“We just have to come in and play our game,” added Dutertre. “Stick to the details of how we do things.”
