This will be newly signed forwards Alex Schoenborn’s and Matt Carter’s home debuts as Carter goes up against his former club with dreams of scoring an important goal.

Dundee were still without defender Kris Inglis but Shawn Boutin returned to the line-up after missing the previous four games with an upper-body injury, meanwhile defenseman, Jason DeSantis and forward, Brett Perlini were missing from the Panthers line-up.

A late announcement came from the Panthers this afternoon, declaring that defenseman, Joseph Hazeldine did not travel with the team after picking up a lower body injury last night.

Last night at the Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham opened the scoring through Adam Deutsch on eight minutes before Anthony Beauregard tied the game with a controversial goal that was reviewed before being given in the 12th minute.

Although, Julian Talbot restored the home sides lead with just 35 seconds left in the first period and Tim Wallace’s men netted another quick goal as Dylan Malmquist made it 3-1 just 28 seconds into the second session.

Samuel Herr extended the lead to a three-goal cushion in the 26th minute and Brian Connelly punished an offensive zone turnover by the Stars and converted his chance after 33 minutes.

A late powerplay strike gave Jacob Hansen his first of the night and stopped Dundee from blanking Nottingham on the powerplay.

The final goal came in the 57th minute to round-off the scoring at 5-1.

Speaking after the final buzzer, Stars Head Coach, Omar Pacha said: “In the first period I thought we competed hard but there were call that went against us and they (Nottingham) scored two off the back of powerplays.

“We knew we would be short of (penalty) killers because of the two new guys coming in and they are still getting used to everything.

“I felt the Panthers came out hard and I would have been happy to come out the first period tied but they got that goal late.

“After that I found in the second that the Panthers to an extent, took over but we made some individual mistakes at lines and we can’t do that against a good team like them, this is a different team than we faced a few weeks back.

“I think we just have to make sure we play a bit more simple tomorrow.”

Tonight’s match will begin at 5pm.
