The Kitmart Dundee Stars have been helping deliver Christmas hampers around the city last week as part of their partnership with Dundee Bairns.

Stars players, Craig Gans, Egils Kalns, Jagger Dirk and Reilly O’Connor helped to deliver these essential hampers across the city last week to help highlight the work that Dundee Bairns do across the city.

David Dorward, Founder of Dundee Bairns, added: “Dundee Bairns are delighted to have collaborated with Dundee Stars and Apex Hotels to deliver hampers and vouchers that will help up to 140 families over this festive period.

“Dundee Bairns in collaboration with Tayside Contracts will provide a two-course hot lunch at three primary schools for children and families during the Christmas school holidays.

“This will in part be funded by a bucket collection that is taking place at the Dundee Stars derby match against Fife Flyers on Thursday December 26th.

“Dundee Bairns are extremely grateful for the support we are receiving from our local professional ice hockey team, Dundee Stars.”

“We as an organisation have become aware of the need to offer fun and friendly environments across the city, that get children and families active, while also offering hot meals during the school holidays.

“We were delighted to help deliver these hampers during the last week of school and we look forward to working closely with Dundee Bairns and supporting a fantastic local cause further.”

Dundee Bairns will also be hosting a bucket collection as they aim to tackle school holiday hunger in some households. This collection will take place on Boxing Day during the Stars home game against Fife Flyers. Buy your tickets HERE!
