Hi Stars fans,

I am writing to you after a great result against the top of the table Sheffield Steelers.

Not only a great result but the performance was most likely our best of the season.

From the drop of the puck, the guys played with speed, fluidity and tenacity. Despite being down by 1 goal after the first 10 minutes, I thought we did great keeping our composure and to keep our focus on our actual game play.

We stayed consistent with our play for the full 60 minutes and that resulted in a big road win.

Now moving forward, this sets us up perfectly for the massive home game this Saturday at 7pm vs the Fife Flyers.

It will be our annual Charity night this year, in aid of the Archie Foundation Tayside and our first #OperationSellout of the season.

There will be many exciting events taking place on Saturday, so please have a look at our article “Around the Rink” later this week to find out more.

The importance of this upcoming derby game will be hugely significant in the standings and will also mark the home comeback of our greatly missed Kris Inglis.

For me, Kris has been a huge absence throughout the season. Since meeting him 3 years ago, his progression as a player has been nothing short of fantastic.

He’s established himself as an Elite League player and a very big part of the club.

He has done everything he could to get back on the ice for this final stretch and produced a very solid first game back vs Sheffield.

I am positive the fans will give him a well-deserved ovation and welcome back prior to the game on Saturday.

Kris Inglis (pictured) will make his home return this Saturday against Fife Flyers.

As the end of the season approaches, there are only 11 games remaining, 6 of them at home, these last 5 weeks will be nothing short of monumental.

This is the last stretch of the season for our players and we are hoping our fans will get behind the boys louder and prouder than ever before, starting this Saturday at 7pm at the Dundee Ice Arena. Buy your tickets HERE!

We will be hosting our final “Skate with the Stars” on Sunday afternoon and it would be great to see as many Stars fans there as possible. We also have a quiz night and Player of the Year awards night coming up soon too. So look out for more details on those.

Finally, I have been asked many times about our 2020-2021 season tickets. This information will be announced very soon, as we enter our 20th professional season, we have great plans in place to set new records for this growing franchise.
