Hi Stars fans,

Everyone here at Dundee Stars Ice Hockey Club are excited for our upcoming inaugural Pink the Rink this Sunday night as we face the Belfast Giants.

As everyone already knows, as a club, we are always looking for ways to help raise awareness for special causes.

This night is to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Care in Scotland. This year we felt it was pivotal to get involved with this charity. Pink the Rink is an initiative that has become increasingly popular in hockey.  The players will be wearing special pink jerseys and we encourage all fans on the night to sport pink like the boys. On the night, representatives from Breast Cancer Care Scotland will be in attendance to highlight the quality work their charity is doing to battle this horrific disease through handing out merchandise and hosting a bucket collection. At the end of the first period fans will have the opportunity to bid on our limited edition jerseys that I know will be extremely popular. In the last year, we have grown substantially as a club and it is our duty to believe in our ethos of being a community team and to push great causes.

Therefore, I am challenging all the great ambassadors and everyone in the beautiful city of Dundee to come together and support Pink the Rink when we take on the Belfast Giants on Sunday at 5pm at the Dundee Ice Arena.

I am looking forward to seeing you there. Let’s make this a night to remember!!
