The Sheffield Steelers will arrive at the Dundee Ice Arena aiming to build on their result last night.
The Yorkshire club beat the Manchester Storm 3-1 in Sheffield, with goals coming from Eric Meland, Robert Dowd and Marc-Olivier Vallerand.
However, last night also saw the Stars come out on the wrong side of a 5-1 score line as the Nottingham Panthers came to Tayside and took a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes.
Egils Kalns gave the home side some hope early in the third period but Tim Wallace’s Panthers pounced on their opportunities to seal the win with two more goals.
One positive for the Stars was that they killed five of the six minor penalties they incurred during Saturday’s match.
Steelers’ Marc-Olivier Vallerand leads the league and his team in scoring after collecting eight points for Sheffield in five games.
Kieran Brown, Alex Graham, Jordan Griffin and goaltender, Pavel Kantor did not ice for Aaron Fox’s side in last night’s win over Manchester.
Meanwhile, Dundee had a full roster icing against Nottingham and should be at full strength again on Sunday.
Stars head coach, Omar Pacha this week said that “Sheffield on paper have the best offense in the league” and that he is looking forward to seeing how his side compare to some of the “historically” big teams in the Elite League.
The Canadian also wants to see how his players react in game situations against the bigger clubs.
