The Trade-Mart Dundee Stars are pleased to announce the signing of Canadian Defensemen, Chris Lijdsman.
The 31 year old veteran defender spent last season with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL posting 6 assists while also collecting 29 penalty minutes in 52 games. He also suited up for one game in the AHL with the Utica Comets.
Stars GM/HC Jeff Mason had this to say after putting pen to paper with Chris
“I am extremely excited to add Chris to our defensive unit. He will add a veteran presence to our group which I feel we need and he will make us more difficult to play against in our own zone.”
“Chris keeps it simple, plays with an edge, and is not afraid to stick up for himself or his teammates. I am looking forward to getting Chris over and into the lineup as soon as possible.”
