The Dundee Stars are delighted to announce Maggie’s as the Club’s official charity partner for the 2017/18 season.
The new year will see both organisations team up in a range of different initiatives.
As a charity Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer and their families and friends, offering a programme of support that has been shown to strengthen physical and emotional wellbeing. Built in the grounds of Ninewells Hospital, the Maggie’s centre is a warm and welcoming place with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need to find their way through cancer.
We are delighted to announce that we will be working alongside Maggie’s in the following events:
Maggie’s Coffee Morning
We will be hosting a charity coffee morning at Dundee Ice Arena on Saturday 27 January 2018.
Charity Match and Limited Edition Jerseys
We will be hosting this season’s charity game on 18 February against Fife Flyers.
The game will see Maggie’s volunteers hosting a bucket collection as well as limited edition Maggie’s jerseys designed by local artists and centre users being auctioned off at the end of the first period.
We will be revealing the designs of these limited-edition jerseys in the next few weeks!
