Scott Dutertre’s men are riding a three-game winning streak, having beaten the Glasgow Clan, Fife Flyers and Cardiff Devils in their last three outings.

However, the Stars haven’t iced in over a week, as their only fixture last weekend, against the Nottingham Panthers, was postponed due to weather.

“Our room has been fairly level throughout the process,” said Dutertre, reflecting on the team’s recent winning streak. “It’s a long season so you can’t get too high or too low. You have to approach every game with a working class mentality.”

Captain Travis Ewanyk has scored in each of his last three games, Gary Haden has recorded seven points in his last four, while Keaton Jameson has five points in his last three, including a hat trick against the Clan.

“I feel that our powerplay has really come on in the last few games,” added Ewanyk. “Being on that unit with those other players gives me a chance to contribute offensively. As well, I thought my linemates Maxi and Nous played one of their best games against Cardiff. Being one of our team’s top lines, that has to be the expectation for our level of play every night if we want to win hockey games.”

The Guildford Flames have made a good start to their 2026/27 campaign, compiling an overall record of 8-4-2 across all competitions.

Paul Dixon’s men enjoyed a four-point weekend against the Coventry Blaze, edging a 2-1 home win on Saturday before picking up a 5-3 road victory the following night.

Team GB international Josh Waller and Mathieu Gosselin lead the Flames in scoring with 15 points in 14 games, followed closely by Cole Sanford and Jack Jacome on 14. Karl Boudrias leads all defencemen in scoring with 11 points, while Jordan Power has 10 and Jake Willets is scoring at a point-per-game pace.

“Guildford has a lot of speed and skill, especially up front,” said Ewanyk. “We need to build off our last game and play a full 60 minutes. We can’t afford to have a lacklustre period or stretch in the game against top teams if we want to be successful.”

“Guildford has played really well this season,” concluded Dutertre. “We have to make sure we play within our details. For us it’s about playing our game.”

Faceoff is scheduled for 7pm.
