Q. What is it like to play for your hometown team?

A. It’s a great feeling playing for my hometown team, it’s been something I’ve wanted since I watched them when I was younger.

Q. Have you lived anywhere else? And how does it compare?

A. I’ve not lived anywhere else. I stayed away last year on weekends as part of my two-way but that’s all.

Q. What’s the best part about living in Dundee?

A. Getting to play and live in my hometown makes this experience amazing.

Q. Do you have a second career for when you are not playing hockey?

A. No, but I’d like to have something to do with coaching. I’ll always stay involved in hockey.

Q. What was it like to come through the Dundee youth system?

A. It was fun playing with my closest friends from a young age and it’s better now to share the experience with Kris (Ledge).

Q. What is your favourite moment with Dundee so far?

A. So far it would have to be the boys making the final four in the playoffs. I wasn’t there but it was a great time for the whole team!

Q. What/who made you want to play hockey?

A. My family have been involved in hockey for as long as I can remember. Stuck a pair of skates on and off I went.

Q. What is your pre-game meal and rituals?

A. I like to have some chicken pasta, nothing special and I haven’t really got any rituals just a good game of two touch and I’m good to go.

Q. What’s the weirdest pre-game ritual you’ve seen?

A. Our own #44 Emerson Hrynyk, taking all his gear off after warmups and every period or a couple years ago when the goalie rubbed bananas on his pads.

Q. What do you do to drive yourself to get better every day/season?

A. I think just battling in practise and off ice workouts as hard as I can to be better than I was the day before is the best thing.

Q. Who is the best player you have played with?

A. Vinny Scarsella or Curtis Lienweber, those guys had unbelievable hands!

Q. Who were your hockey role models whilst growing up?

A. Sidney Crosby, he’s just so good at everything I loved watching his highlights!

Q. How does the Elite League compare with the other leagues you have played in?

A. This league is much faster than any other league I’ve played in. Plus the bigger guys is a massive difference too.

Q. How do you deal with the long travel journey’s?

A. Usually I just sleep and catch up on some Netflix series.

Q. What was it like to represent Great Britain at Under 18 and Under 20 level?

A. It was an honour to represent Great Britain, something I’ll never forget for sure.

Q. How have your first two season with Stars been and now that you are on a full-time contract?

A. The first two years were great getting to have tasters of what the league is like, now it’s great getting the full experience.

Q. What NHL team did you grow up supporting?

A. Pittsburgh Penguins.

Q. What is your favourite moment from your career?

A. Representing my country has to be my favourite moment. First EIHL goal is up there too.

Q. Where do you want to be in 10 years?

A. I’d like to see myself playing somewhere in Europe, if not still playing in this league at a good level.

Q. What’s the best thing about the Dundee Stars fans?

A. The Stars fans are great at supporting the guys through whatever and the boys would love if they keep it going.
