Coventry opened the scoring through Alessio Luciani, who collected a drop pass from Jack Hopkins off the rush and fired a shot from the high slot past Emil Kruse at 09:11.
The Stars earned the first power-play opportunity of the night at 15:06 after Grayson Constable was assessed a two-minute minor for boarding. Bradley Schoonbaert converted on the man advantage at 15:32, tipping a shot from Kameron Kielly past Dershahn Stewart to level the score at 1-1.

Strong defensive work sprung the Stars on a three-on-one rush, with Johnny Curran feeding Spencer Naas to beat Stewart in close to make it 2-1 at 24:25.
Coventry responded with a three-on-one rush of their own at 28:21, as Adam Robbins slid a pass across to Grayson Constable who fired the puck past Kruse to level the score at 2-2.
William Boysen made it 3-2 just over 30 seconds later at 28:59, redirecting a pass from Matthew Gleason into the Stars’ net.

A hooking penalty against Morten Jurgens gave the Blaze their first power play of the night, which Adam Robbins converted on at 37:29. Despite Kruse making the initial pad save on a shot from Grant Mismash, the puck fell perfectly to Robbins, who made no mistake to make it 4-2.
Robbins scored his second of the night and made it 5-2 at 49:05, tipping a Kim Tallberg shot from the point past Kruse.
Tallberg added a sixth on the power play at 52:38, pouncing on a rebound after Kruse had made a stop on a slapshot from the point by William Boysen.
