Last night, the Stars picked up their second consecutive win as they knocked off the Fife Flyers 4-3 in Kirkcaldy.
Craig Moore and Kris Inglis both scored their first goals of the season, while Matt DeBoer also found the back of the net. Travis Ewanyk extended his point streak to three games, scoring his second goal in as many games. Carl Stankowski once again impressed in net, making 48 saves and posting a .941 save percentage.
“It’s nice to be on the winning side of things,” said head coach Scott Dutertre post-game. “I thought for us, the first period we were being a little tentative and Fife had a really good push, they were playing really physical and I think we backed off a little bit. The message going into the second is that we have to be able to push back and play with some courage, and I think we did that for the last two periods.”

Dundee and Cardiff met last weekend at the Vindico Arena, with the Devils shutting out the Stars 3-0.
Kohen Olischefski, Nick Welsh and Josh MacDonald found the back of the net, while Ben Bowns made 27 saves en route to his first shutout of the season.
“I thought we worked hard and held our own,” reflected Dutertre on that loss. “We need more activity around their net and cut down defensive zone time.”
Last night, Paul Thompson’s men defeated the Coventry Blaze 5-4 in overtime at the Vindico Arena. Kristoff Kontos recorded a three-point night, while Brandon Estes, Nick Welsh, Jimmy Oligny, Ryan Barrow and Joey Martin all found the back of the net.
The Devils remain undefeated in regular-season play, having won all four of their opening contests, and have compiled an overall record of 8-3-0.
